Hi there! My name is Chad Gramling and I’m super excited to welcome you to 1Glories, where the goal is to inspire a refining life – on purpose. Whether you believe in God or not, much of what you find here is aimed at your heart with the hopes of lightening your load and helping you move forward with a fuller and more enriching life.

Chad Gramling is an author, historian, speaker and blogger at 1Glories (1Glories.com), where he encourages a “refining life, on purpose.” He’s a proud citizen of Auburn, Indiana where he resides with his wife and three daughters.

So What is 1Glories?

First off, let’s address the most obvious question; what’s with the name, 1glories? Fair question. Essentially, it’s a way of saying there is “one God, who gets all glories.” It’s a name that sort of came to me after realizing I spent too much time chasing after personal glories for my benefit and not to bring glory to God. 

With that addressed, let’s talk about content. Here, readers and followers receive an uplifting and friendly environment to open up, learn, and grow both personally and collectively. I’m praying you’ll be inspired and safely challenged to pursue greater desires or maintain a healthy approach to the race in which you’ve been called.

We are all works in progress toward where God aims us. Seeking and responding to the ways he orders our lives is what “refining life – on purpose” is all about.

1Glories is the manifestation of a realization that there’s a higher calling and broader purpose to my life and I want to share that with you.

The Publishing Schedule

When it comes to schedule, there really is not one. Regular posting has reduced significantly so I can focus on writing books, but I still do try to get 1-2 posts done each month. Publishing posts on a regular basis is a hard thing to do – just ask any blogger.  

Typically, posts will be book reviews or as part of the annual Year of Listening Up series.

So… What’s with the Dragonfly?

Glad you asked. Following a lot of soul searching, study, reflection, and prayer, the dragonfly was developed into the 1Glories logo for some very practical reasons I detail in chapter two of Greater Desires – “Come Glorify.”

Like Christians, a Dragonfly begins its life in one environment (underwater) until it realizes it was created for a higher calling, at which time it rises above the water, sheds its skin and becomes a new creature uniquely designed to be bearers of the light. Of course, that’s the synopsis. I encourage you to read more in your free Greater Desires eBook.

Who the Heck is Chad Gramling?

Chad Gramling (that’s me) is a historian, marketer, and author who is “refining life, on purpose.” He regularly blogs about his experiences and the ways God is leading him at 1Glories.com. 1Glories is a ministry Chad began as part of a quest toward greater discipleship and relationship with Jesus Christ. As he lives, learns, grows — is refining life, on purpose — he invites others to connect, share, learn, and grow as well.
