Then I wrote this book for you. I wrote it to show the world that we don’t have to settle for this commonly prescribed advice. It’s passive, it’s cold and it really does more to stimulate further stagnation than it does to inspire hope and cultivate personal action.
I’ve been there. I’ve had times in life where I had no answers and it seemed like everything I did was the wrong step. The worst part, I couldn’t do a darn thing about it! And most people resorted to the safe answer. “Just Hang in There.”
Fed up, I pondered what good can come from that phrase. Not a lot really. In fact, there are so many phrases in our lives that do more to brainwash us into inaction and ill-suited definitions of character than they do to shape and form us into the masterpiece that God envisions and desires.
